David Bell _ Lifetime Achievement Award.jpegAdSchool originator David Bell was so intent on tearing off to hug, photograph and congratulate the AdSchool graduates who won the TVNZ Student Axis award at the 2011 Axis Awards that he managedto miss out on the fact that Sandy Moore was in the midst of bestowinga lifetime achievement award on him.

It wasn’t until Bell shuffled over to the Media Design School table to proffer some kind words to some other student finalists, that they were able to burst the glow of his’student-win bubble’ and hiss at him to pay some bloodyattention to what Moore was saying.

In that moment was an illustration of Bel’ssingle-minded passion, devotion and dedication to student success whichnot only culminated in his own lifetime achievement award but also inall those far too-numerous-to-mention graduates, that were there as AXIS finalists and winners last night.

There were about 13 awards that went to AdSchool at last night’s AXIS Awards with Christie Cooper and Anne Boothroyd picking up numerous golds.
