Y&R appointed to Cigna Insurance

cigna use.jpgY&R has been awarded the full creative, direct and media relationship with Cigna Insurance in New Zealand.

Says Simon Tohill, Cigna's national marketing manager: "Cigna has some big plans for growth in the New Zealand market, so the time was right to consolidate our agency relationships across the board"

In April, after a competitive pitch, Y&R was appointed to a brand development project with Cigna. The subsequent full service relationship came without a formal tender.

"Y&R have demonstrated a thorough insights-led approach in their work to date and we are looking forward to seeing that carry through into our day-to-day communications" Tohill added.
Says Grant Maxwell, general manager,Y&R: "Naturally we're delighted to have a wider relationship with Cigna. They have some pretty big aspirations for their brand in this market and abroad, so we can't wait to take that journey with them."

Y&R's sister agency MEC will be handling channel strategy and implementation. The relationship starts from late October.
