There was a time a campaign like this would only need an AD, CW and CD. Nowadays the CD and ECD get in on the creative action as well? Isn't that their jobs? That's why they get a CD and ECD mention isn't it? So why the creative mention too? Colenso is another one famous for this kind of utter silliness. If a CD does the job they do not get creative mention, they just were the CD on the job! All this clamouring for attention and recognition with a little campaign that interesting but not really a winner... When you see this kind of thing you've just got to ask, are the people there working hard for themselves or for Y&R? I see this place disintegrating by the end of the year. That's my prediction.

I actually really like these.

First time a spot actually on my telly has made me laugh out loud in a long time. Well done Tommo and co.

Grow up...

If you really must know, both the ECD and CD told me they're not at all precious about being named in the credits, but I felt their input was above and beyond 'overseeing'. So I, without their knowledge, included them.

As far as your cute little prediction goes, please give me a call, I'd like to hear your rationale. 021 646481.

ps. you're a cock.

Really nice work guys, these spots are beaut. Congrats.

If Y&R continue to do work like this they'll continue their rising form. Mark my words.

And Grow Up, grow up and get a life.

Put your real name on here next time so we can all see where the inane comments come from.

I always thought an ECD and CD did more than 'overseeing'.

I rate these ads because they are likeable, memorable and can withstand repeated viewings (so far). Well done Y & R.

Found this rather funny, probably 'cus I've done something similar in my youth... If I had one criticism, it would be "ENOUGH WITH THE GINGERS ALREADY". every bloody ad, these days - stick a ginger in it, enough seriously, it only encourages them to breed........

Apart from the last couple of sentences I totally agree with Grow Up. Sounds like the CD and ECD don't trust the AD and CW and could help meddling. That's a great way to piss off a creative team.

Did you purposely have the Maori guy with no shoes?

Tom Paine,

I know you. You are no idiot or rank amateur. You are fully capable of creating this work or better all by yourself without the 'creative help' you speak of. Good of you to defend the indefensible though - CDs and ECDs should be just that, or else they should throw away the title and become creatives again! Are you saying that wihout a little direction and push and nudge you would have been incapable of coming up with this work by yourself (with your creative partner)? The fact is that I'm on your side. Whatever dude. I'm not coming after you – just the sheer shameful stupidity of having everyone in the agency and their f-ing dog take credit for creative work if they were so much as farting distance of the room the idea was created in! Happens all too often these days... especially with the young crop of CDs and ECDs who should know better because they would not have liked it happen to them when they were creatives. If I am a COCK for anything, it's for saying what everyone here knows is bloody true. And thanks, it's been a real pleasure.

p.s. Thanks for the phone number. In my juvenile days I'd probably have made some several crank calls you at about 2am, but thanks, I think I'll pass.

WTF...these are crap...must have taken all of about 10 seconds to come up with this creative .Amateur at best. Mind you having the munchies is something that the guys or (guy) at Y&R know all about....so in the respect these ads should be so much better.

Hah!

Cut a line = Creative team on placement.

Well done Y&R, three really fun spots. And no, I don't work there.
