Lion Breweries appoints Waikato-based agency King St to handle Waikato Draught account

waikato.jpgWaikato-based King St has been appointed to handle Waikato Draught along with other local assignments. In a move designed to restore the brand to its glory days, Lion has enlisted the local knowledge of Waikato’s leading agency.

 

Says Chris Williams, King St CEO: “It’s beer, it’s Waikato Draught, it’s Lion, we are stoked. What more can I say.”

 

Lion Breweries marketing manager – mainstream beer, Jonte Goldwater, believes there is a lot of life left in the iconic brand and they aim to build on its great heritage as well as maximise new opportunities.

Says Goldwater: “Waikato Draught has been a huge part of the region; its values align well with the Waikato culture so its time to reaffirm this.”

 

The agency is currently working on projects which will be revealed in 2013.
