Special Group, Auckland wins Gold and Silver at the Australasian Branded Entertainment Awards
Special Group has walked away with one Gold and one Silver at last night’s Australasian Branded Entertainment Awards at the finale of the Festival of Branded Entertainment, held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney.
Special Group’s ‘Smirnoff Night Project’ won Gold in the “Best transmedia” category and its campaign for Gravity Coffee titled ‘The Gravity Coffee Run’ won Silver in the “Best integration or brand story telling – non-fiction” category.
The Sydney Opera House Ship Song Project by The Monkeys, Sydney won the Grand Prix as well as gold in the “best brand commissioned” category.
Says Cathie McGinn, festival curator: “We were surprised and pleased by the volume, quality and of work submitted, and we’re looking forward to an even bigger and better event next year. The awards really recognise exceptional and genuinely entertaining work in this category -most remarkably the jury said how much they had enjoyed the judging process.”
