The Media Design School’s 2013 AdSchool End of Year Show a whopping success

portfolio off Toby Talbot and Nick Worthington.jpgOn Tuesday night The Media Design School threw its annual AdSchool End of Year Show at The Ostro Terrace Bar. The night was a major success.

Yes, they went out of their way to insult/offend/annoy a junior/intern/freelancer in every agency in town but hey, they won the BEES Worldwide Student Brief Award; helped the school score its international ranking of 2nd most awarded school for social media; won the top copy prize at Crowbar; scored the student and topical prize at The Newspaper of The Year awards and nabbed 2 out of 3 finalist places for the 2014 Student Axis.

ShowNight.jpgSo it was with a tear in the eye that finally on Tuesday night, as a grand cruise liner sailed past the window of The Ostro Bar, that Media Design School launched them off into the world.

The venue was packed, the show finished at 9.30 instead of 8pm, and the highlight of the night, which is recorded here for posterity (albeit somewhat blurrily by David Bell), was the spontaneous, side-by side ‘portfolio-off’ performed by those two titans of the advertising world, Nick Worthington and Toby Talbot. Media Design School acknowledges The Ostro Bar for letting them have their show in such a cool venue, and once more they’re all indebted to Marsden Inch for generously giving them all sore heads by helping out with the bar tab.
