AWARD_School_Lecturers_2014.jpgAWARD School, the pre-eminent training program for aspiring creatives, copywriters and art directors, returns to Australia and New Zealand this year, kicking off in Sydney and Melbourne on 10th March before moving to Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, and Auckland.

This year’s school heads from New Zealand include DDB senior creative Rory McKechnie and Colenso BBDO senior creative Antony Wilson.

In line with the many changes that have taken place in the industry landscape in recent years, AWARD School ensures course content continues to remain fresh. The 12-week intensive course will cover 10 briefs, spurring idea generation across a range of different mediums, with focus on the many new digital opportunities available to today’s creatives.

Says Mark Harricks, AWARD chairman: “We have upped the intensity this year – 10 briefs across 12 weeks is both a great and exciting challenge for budding creatives, but it’s also a taste of what real agency life is like. AWARD School is about preparing the next generation of creatives for the industry and this is the right environment.  We are looking for those who want to be challenged and stand out from the crowd – if you’re interested in ‘ideas’ then this could be the right opportunity for you.”

Every year, throughout Australasia, AWARD School accepts up to 300 students from around 800 applications. The applications for all Australian states can be downloaded from the AWARD website 17th January, 2014, and can be submitted up until 31st January, 2014. Applications for AWARD School NZ will open later in the year.
