Colenso team Kiwi Si Vicars and Aussie Brett Colliver score AWARD Creative Team of the Year

Screen Shot 2014-03-28 at 9.32.38 am.jpgProving that trans-Tasman cooperation is possible Kiwi, Si Vicars (far left) and Aussie, Brett Colliver (near left) from Colenso BBDO have won creative team of the year at the AWARD Awards held at the Sydney Town Hall, in Sydney last night.

Vicars and Colliver won metal for a number of brands and across a number of categories (Film and Video, and Radio) with campaigns for DB Breweries (Export 33 and Export Gold), Tip Top (Memphis) and for their collaboration with Clemenger BBDO Brisbane on Nimble.
Says Vicars: "It's a big honour to win creative team of the year. It's awesome. But really it's a reflection of the amazing clients we work with and the love and trust they have for Colenso. It's also a nod to everyone in the building, especially the production team. For a group of people who are forever surrounded by scalpels, they are remarkably unstabby when we ask the impossible."

Says Nick Garrett, Colenso CEO: "We're chuffed for the boys - they're great lads, hard working, and damned talented. This also proves that the harder you work the luckier you get. It's nice for Brett to be recognised in his home country too and I'm sure Si will be enjoying getting one back on the Aussies."

Let's see if they are such good mates after the next Kiwis vs. Kangaroos rugby league test.
