Curious Film and Clemenger BBDO Wellington score Gold + Bronze 2014 A-List Hollywood Advertising Awards for NZTA’s ‘Blazed’ spot

NZTA_BLAZED_web.jpgCurious Film has continued its winning streak scoring Gold at the 2014 A-List Hollywood Advertising Craft Awards for New Zealand Traffic Authority spot ‘Blazed’ via Clemenger BBDO New Zealand.

NZTA’s ‘Blazed‘ was directed by Taika Waititi. The award winning spot won a Gold for Acting Performance along with a Bronze Award in Copywriting. The recent accolades follow a string of international recognition including two Gold (Script and Casting) and a Silver for Direction in the Film Craft Lions at Cannes.

Other winners from Australia and New Zealand include Finch Sydney and Clemenger BBDO Wellington, who scored a Silver and a Bronze for NZTA’s ‘Mistakes‘ spot for Direction and Acting Performance, BMF Sydney and Revolver / Will O’ Rourke scored a Bronze for Lion Tap King’s ‘Hello‘ spot featuring Lionel Richie in the Direction category and Whybin\TBWA and Revolver / Will O’ Rourke scored a Bronze for Nissan Pathfinder’s ‘Jimmy Taylor’ campaign in Direction.

The A-List Hollywood Film Advertising Craft Awards is the first awards event in Hollywood to focus on the commercial advertising production and post production industry.

The competition and festival is held in conjunction with the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival, accredited by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) – 44 of its participating filmmakers have earned Academy Award nominations, 13 have won Oscars.
