Peugeot-new.jpgAfter a competitive pitch Peugeot has appointed Contagion as its New Zealand communication’s partner, seeing the agency awarded the integrated account, including strategy, media, creative and sponsorships.

Says Contagion CEO, Dean Taylor: “We have been actively looking for the right car brand for a while now. It was important to us to find one with a passion for a more future focused approach to communications. After all, the way people buy cars has fundamentally changed over the last three years, with the advent of ever increasing digital behaviours. Peugeot share our passion and we couldn’t be happier to partner with them at this time.”

Adds executive creative director Bridget Taylor: “The opportunity for Peugeot is huge, so too is their passion for great work. They are brave, smart and nice people, which are all the ingredients we need to create head turning work.”

Says Grant Smith, general manager, Sime Darby Automobiles: “We are a brand born of 200 years of innovation and we are looking forward to the creative brilliance that Contagion can apply to our business in New Zealand.

“Peugeot sales in New Zealand have doubled over the last 4 years, and with the forthcoming arrival of the new Peugeot 308, which was awarded 2014 European Car of the Year, this impressive growth in New Zealand is expected to accelerate even further. With Contagion, we have found an agency who demonstrate the same values, ambition and passion for the automotive industry that we have for the Peugeot brand, and look forward to our joint future success.”
