Patrick Trethowan, junior copywriter from CB Agency of the Year 2014, McCann Melbourne, is representing Australia.

‘Creative Conversations’ is a four day programme held during the LIA judging week at the Encore Hotel, Las Vegas. It is geared towards newcomers in the industries of advertising, design, digital and production. This educational initiative is fully funded by LIA including airfares and accommodation. It is LIA’s way of giving back to the industry and places are limited to no more than 80 juniors worldwide.

‘Creative Conversations’ is an opportunity to connect creative talent worldwide at every level, face-to-face. The programme includes seminars and one-on-one’s with the juries and speakers. In a rare opportunity, for the second year in a row Creative Conversations attendees will sit-in on the final day of judging during the statue discussions. It also provides unequaled access to the top class list of executive creative directors and worldwide creative directors who are judging LIA this year.

The ‘Creative Conversations’ programme was launched in 2012 and is targeted to Young Creatives from around the globe. LIA coordinates a week of educational and enriching seminars, lunches and dinners filled with stimulating discussions centered on the experiences and ideas of the speakers in their respective fields. The attendees – including those from Asia, Australia and NZ chosen by Campaign Brief – are encouraged to drive the conversations using their own experiences or by asking questions that would take the conversations to another level.
