I might even give one a go.”

They carry out development programmes for youth, coaching and officials, including managing the competition rules and developing safety and fairness standards across all events. Tri NZ is responsible for selecting and managing age group teams to all ITU World Championship events on an annual basis. They own and deliver some key events, including the Sovereign Tri Series and various national championship events over a variety of distances. Triathlon New Zealand are also responsible for implementing a high performance programme that provides support for our elite and developing athletes, to help them advance and win on the world stage.

Says Julie Monaghan, commercial manager, Triathlon NZ: “Off the back of bringing on Sovereign Insurance as our major sponsorship partner, we are delighted to appoint Republik as our official agency of record. They’re a great team, they produce quality work and they just make things happen. We couldn’t be happier.”

There is no real incumbent. The account was previously managed by a number of smaller and sponsor aligned agencies.
