DF_EMAIL_IMAGES2.jpg8 director Michael Humphrey has shot a new film for Iconic New Zealand artist Dick Frizzell.

In the film, Frizzell explains how he creates his screen-prints, which in turn is visually interpreted, channelling the riotous imagination and ironic humour of one of New Zealand’s most prolific contemporary artists.

The video promotes the upcoming exhibition of Frizzell’s work at the MTG Gallery in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand from 28 March to 23 August 2015.

In 2011 Dick Frizzell gifted a major collection of artist’s proofs to the Hawke’s Bay Museums Trust – a set of works, retained by the artist, which had been produced in addition to each of his limited edition prints. Artist’s Proof takes us on a whistle-stop tour through this collection.

For more information on the exhibition contact Lucy Hammonds, curator art and design, MTG Hawkes Bay.
