Clemenger BBDO Wellington hires brand planner David Milner and art director Steve Hansen
Clemenger BBDO starts 2015 with two additions to the team. David Milner (right) returns to Wellington as brand planner, with a focus on innovation strategy and social change consulting and ex-Ogilvy’s Steve Hansen (left) joins the team as art director.
Previously at Dentsu Australia, Milner did the brand planning for Toyota passenger model launches, lead large-scale customer research projects, and shaped the brand strategy and a subsequent product development project for 4 Pines Brewing Co.
Recently, Milner became an advisor at MINDEAS, a virtual reality startup focused on developing a new model of therapy-based personal development.
Hansen won the Emerging Talent Gold Axis in 2008. Since then, he’s worked across some of New Zealand’s biggest brands including Vodafone, McDonald’s, Air New Zealand, V Energy, ANZ, Mountain Dew, Holden, Powerade and Coca Cola.
Says Sean Keaney, general manager, Clemenger BBDO: “David and Steve are brilliant additions to our team here in Wellington. They’re big thinkers with big personalities and big drive to do innovative work. Right now we’re getting them entrenched in our clients’ businesses. I look forward to some stellar results.”

Steve, with the World Cup looming up, I think you’ve taken a very bold decision that will help the AB’s keep the cup.
Clem’s have proved to be a world-class outfit, sure they’ve lost Duster McCaw because of his re-occuring achilles problem, but with a bit more focus on the forward pack I think the AB’s will be unstoppable.
Clems getting some mojo back! Nice hires before the big gun signs off

Milner You Legend! Keep up the good work Buddy
I remember David from school. He was a bit slobbery back then. Good that he’s found his feet.
