KEVIN-MARY-ON-CLUB.jpgThe One Club, the New York based non-profit organization recognizing creative excellence in advertising, design and marketing communications, has promoted Kevin Swanepoel to the role of chief executive officer.  Swanepoel (far left) joined The One Club in 1998 and previously served as president.

Swanepoel – who joined The One Club in 1998 and previously served as president – succeeds Mary Warlick (above), who joined The One Club in 1989 as executive director and served as chief executive officer since 2006. A two-time Emmy Award winner, for the film Art & Copy and PBS special The Real Mad Men and Women of Madison Avenue, Warlick will transition into her new position as president of A&C Film Distribution, a division of The One Club devoted to documentary films, television and other content.  Ms. Warlick will report to The One Club Board of Directors.

“The One Club would not be where it is today, and I would not be where I am now, if it weren’t for Mary’s leadership over these many years,” said Swanepoel.  “It has been an absolute pleasure and I am glad she now has the chance to fully pursue her passion for creating documentaries.  I am grateful for this opportunity and I am confident that with the team we have built, The One Club will continue to set the standard in our industry in more and more places around the world.”

“I am excited about the next stage in my career,” said Warlick.  “After producing the One Show Awards for 25 years, I am looking forward to focusing on producing films, television and digital content. I hope that my legacy to The One Club will be one of maintaining a standard of excellence for the industry and I am sure it will be continued.”

The One Club also promoted Yash Egami to vice president of marketing and communications from his previous role as director of content. Egami is tasked with strengthening and expanding the marketing communications department to accommodate The One Club’s growing international presence.  He joined the organization in 2004.
