207d362.jpgSearching for the next generation of creative talent, AWARD School releases the 2015 application briefs today for Auckland and Tasmania.

As the pre-eminent training program for aspiring creatives, copywriters and art directors in Australia and New Zealand, AWARD School receives around 650 applications across both countries each year, and follows a strict selection process based on demonstrated creative potential. The 12 week intensive course will accept applications until Friday 19th June 2015, with successful applicants expected to be informed by mid-July for a 20th July start.

The program will be headed in Tasmania by Sam Buxton, art director, Clemenger, whose work includes the recent integrated Crime stoppers campaign which took home Best in Show at last year’s TADAs, as well as helping to relaunch and rebrand the PICAs in Tasmania as the Diemen Awards, playing a pivotal role in refreshing the brand from an outdated print only based model, to incorporate design and digital platforms.

Brett Colliver (pictured), senior art director, Colenso BBDO, will lead the program in Auckland. Colliver, who started his career as an AWARD School student, was the winner of six Cannes Lions last year as well as taking the inaugural title of Creative of the Year at the 2014 AWARD Awards.

AWARD School students will also be guided by local experts, who will share their learnings and insights in weekly talks and tutorials.

Says Mark Harricks, AWARD chair: “This is a fantastic opportunity for anybody considering a creative career. I will say from experience that it is not an easy course – but it is one of the best ways to challenge, broaden and prepare your creative thinking for the demands of agency life. We are looking for enthusiasm, drive, and most importantly, creative potential. Good luck.”
