JP+ED (1).jpgIn their first month as joint executive creative directors, Brigid Alkema and Brett Hoskin have added firepower to the creative department with a pair of Wellington locals. JP Twaalfhoven and Emily Drake (Ed) were already a team when the opportunity to work at Clemenger BBDO/Proximity presented itself.

Says Twaalfhoven: “It was a fantastic chance for us to muck in on some of New Zealand’s best brands, we’re excited by the possibilities.”

Twaalfhoven and Drake bring an approach to work that Alkema and Hoskin are looking for in new hires.

Says Alkema: “Our focus has been on finding fresh, media-neutral thinkers with digital experience and real hands-on skills. Brett and I were instantly impressed with JP and Ed. Both have cut their teeth in small Wellington shops. So they’ve had to be the masters of their own destinies. That not only takes passion and drive, but also has forced them to learn a wealth of skills. They’re not afraid to jump behind a camera, or get stuck in on an animation project. They have the goods, and they’re going to be a great addition to the team.”

Twaalfhoven and Drake have received multiple local awards, including Newspaper Ad of the Year.
