Cody Industries creates a revolution in pants with the launch of Chilly Bin Pants via TBWA\Auckland
What is going on in the world? It’s no longer safe to wear budgie smugglers to motorsports. You can no longer go outside in a clownsuit. Humankind seems no closer to answering the question: What am I going to wear?
Cody Industries assigned its formidable R & D department to tackle this important issue. The result is a revolutionary garment: Chilly Bin Pants via TBWA\Auckland.
It’s an 18 can mobile bourbon cooling system integrated into a fashionable pair of pants.
The cooler pockets are a snug fit for Cody’s Bourbon and Cola cans and are fashioned from space-travel type materials. Wearable tech has finally landed in NZ.
Says a spokesperson from Cody Industries: “Only this level of science can guarantee a party in your pants. A cutting edge random selection process will allow all manner of Cody’s fans to join the conversation.”

I like it, but how did this get past LAPPS? A party is your pants? I think LAPPS might have been caught with their pants down.
The ad insinuates that all the booze is to be drunk by one person.
How is that responsible advertising from the client?
I’ve got booze clients, if I presented this to them they’d fire us for not complying to the Code. Unless I have missed something then I also am suspicious that Lapps have failed to do due diligence on this. It’s a shocker of a decision.
At the end of the day, with liquor rules about to tighten up even more next year, this ad does no one any favours. My viewpoint has nothing to do with the creative, it’s hilarious, but everything to do with a level playing field for all.
The standards have certainly dropped to the worst level since Blood left the building.
Great idea Lucy and Sme!
Good on them for ignoring or bypass the Advisory
But this is a tired old formula for booze advertising, Bud Institute etc etc
Yawn
The pants are cool…the video is shit…it doesn’t do the pants any favours…good one getting it past LAPPS (if you actually did).
Right up my alley. Heart.
Would love if you could buy theses. My partner cody really wants a pair of these for his birthday. He has a collection of codys items!!
