The Glue Society opens in Wellington led by Pete Baker; available to collaborate with NZ agencies on creative projects from brief to broadcast

PeteBaker.jpgIndependent creative collective, The Glue Society, has opened its doors in Wellington, New Zealand.

Led by Glue Society partner, Pete Baker, the award-winning group will be available to collaborate with New Zealand agencies on creative projects from brief to broadcast - whether directing commercials or helping to make experiential, content and art ideas a reality.

Says Baker: "Having a local base in New Zealand will allow myself and all of us at Glue Society to be better able to collaborate with creative people throughout the country - and better able to make budgets work and productions happen more easily.
"At its best, the creative work in New Zealand is as good as - if not better than - anywhere in the world. It breaks the rules. And engages audiences in a conversation. Two things we love to do. And we're really looking forward to making an active contribution to the country's creative output."

Adds co-founder of The Glue Society, Jonathan Kneebone: "Pete is one of the longest standing members of our creative group - and his work of late has been second to none. It is an exciting development for us to have him represent us locally in NZ - as well as continuing his work in Australia.

GAYTMS.jpg"His direction of the recent ANZ 'Hold Tight' campaign, Cochlear 'Hearing Test' short film and Seek's 'Why Settle? Seek' content film - not forgetting the multi-award winning ANZ GAYTM/GAYNZ projects & Sky NZ's Unforgotten Soldiers - are testament to his unique skills and passion for his craft."

In Australia and New Zealand, The Glue Society is represented by production companies Revolver (for film direction) and Will O'Rourke (for experiential, content and art projects).

Later this year, in November, The Glue Society will be celebrating its 20th anniversary, with a retrospective exhibition, event and book being planned.
