MediaWorks NZ picks WeThinkMedia as new Australian ad sales representation partner

PeterWiltshirephoto.jpgJaneStucciHiRes (1).jpgMediaWorks New Zealand has appointed newly launched Australian advertising representation company WeThinkMedia as its Australian ad sales partner.

WeThinkMedia - headed by former Nine Entertainment Co. chief revenue officer and group sales and marketing director Peter Wiltshire (left) - holds the exclusive representation rights in Australia for New Zealand's largest independent broadcaster, MediaWorks, across its television, radio and digital platforms.

Managing day-to-day business operations is Kiwi expat Jane Stucci (above, right), who joins WeThinkMedia as head of sales from Southern Cross Austereo, where her most recent role was national television sales director.
Stucci will manage operations and client-facing work, with the support of sales professionals Gaylene Riminton and Emma Thomas, who have experience with MediaWorks, to provide continuity of service and a strong basis for growth.

Says Wiltshire: "The opportunity for a new, boutique media representation business offering expert and highly personalised service has become apparent through my extensive advisory work for a broad range of clients.

"We're proud to launch with MediaWorks as our foundation client and we thank them for selecting us to help grow their Australian advertising client base.

"I'm also delighted to welcome Jane Stucci as head of sales, who will run the day-to-day business and manage the sales team. Jane's broad industry relationships and experience across the Australian and international marketing and advertising community superbly qualify her for the role. I can trust Jane to look after operations and client service while I focus on strategy and continue my consulting work and board directorships."

Says Glen Kyne, chief commercial officer, MediaWorks: "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Peter to launch WeThinkMedia in the Australian market. His reputation, depth of experience and knowledge and intimacy with the local market, bring great benefit to MediaWorks in broadening our brand offering in Australia. Also, having met and spent quality time with Jane, we have great confidence in the leadership she will bring to the market on behalf of MediaWorks."

"Though I've lived in Australia for many years I'm still a passionate Kiwi so am thrilled to share MediaWorks' extraordinary offer as New Zealand's largest independent broadcaster with the Australian client and agency market."

WeThinkMedia's representation agreement with MediaWorks takes effect immediately. The company officially launches after Easter.
