Ogilvy Paris snares Kiwi expats Mark Forgan and Jamie Standen from Rosapark after five year stint

CB Exclusive – Kiwi expat creative directors Mark Forgan and Jamie Standen are departing Rosapark Paris after five years to join Ogilvy Paris’ Creative Council.

The creative duo arrives at Ogilvy Paris in the context of the “Next Chapter” globally announced by John Seifert, Ogilvy’s Worldwide Chairman & CEO.

The pair will have a key role in the new organization and will contribute to build the creative future of Ogilvy Paris. They will manage both French and international accounts with an integrated and innovative dimension. Their international profile shows their creative agility beyond traditional medias.

Says Forgan and Standen: “After ten years of working in France, we’ve been awarded with the best of both worlds: an ability to understand the French market, and French consumers, while retaining our international spirit and outlook. We can’t wait to put this mix to work at Ogilvy Paris.”

The pair’s first collaboration was in the kitchen of a Wellington pizza restaurant. After a few years tossing pizzas, they started their advertising career at Clemenger BBDO Wellington, and then six years later they moved to the opposite side of the world and became French, at least a little bit.

First stop was Y&R Paris, followed by CLM BBDO Paris for a couple of years, where they worked on international campaigns for Pepsi International, and the Olympic sponsorship campaign for French power giant EDF, voted one of the most popular campaigns of that year by the French public.

In 2012 they were invited to help create the agency Rosapark. After five years of helping the agency grow, working on clients such as Thalys, Monoprix, Europcar, Decathlon and more recently Skoda; winning awards at D&AD, The One Show, Cannes, Clios, Eurobest, A.D.C and many more, they are excited to start a new chapter at Ogilvy Paris.
