Says Liv Hale, marketing manager of New Balance New Zealand: "Globally, New Balance has just launched Fearlessly Independent Since 1906 - our new inspirational global brand communication platform that reflects the heritage and non-conventional values at the heart of what we do. We want to recognise and celebrate the notion of individuality through true independents who are changing the game and we feel that as an artist, TAPZ really aligns with our vision. Our goal is to inspire consumers across the globe to unleash the best version of themselves, and working with the creative hub that Vice and I-D provide, we hope to make that connection with their audiences."

Says Briony Wright, editor i-D AUNZ: "i-D AUNZ has long been committed to telling the stories of creatives from our side of the world, helping to define the present and future of culture. As such, we couldn't have been more excited to collaborate with New Balance, a brand who shares our dedication to authenticity, on a video to support the launch of their Fearlessly Independent Since 1906 Brand Campaign. Having the opportunity to document TAPZ, one of New Zealand's most exciting and fearless rising stars, through i-D's distinctive lense for this project was incredibly special."
