The Auckland digital agency’s latest collaboration with Highline, a story about the financial plight of millennials called FML, won Gold in three categories at the awards gala in New York on Friday night: Web Feature Design, Web Animation, and Innovative Practice.

Says Tarver Graham, CEO, Gladeye: “To best publishing heavyweights like Nat Geo at their own game is stunning considering the team’s building apps, websites, campaigns and all kinds of commercial projects here in New Zealand at the same time. It’s a real credit to our fantastic talent and the effort they put into their work.”

Gladeye won Gold at last year’s SPD Awards for Gold Rush, a Highline story about the global refugee crisis. This year FML also scooped the Webby Award for Individual Editorial Experience.

Graham says the awards are the culmination of a successful three-year relationship with Highline.

Says Graham: “It’s work that tells important stories and we love being part of it. It’s also digital innovation with global reach, and that’s where we’re going as a business.”

Building on success with Highline, this year Gladeye began work on several projects with HuffPost designing new digital content experiences. The agency doesn’t yet have a presence in New York, but Graham says that’s “looking increasingly likely.”
