Prepay mobile and broadband provider Skinny appoints Colenso BBDO as lead creative agency

Skinny-Orange-CMYK (1).jpgColenso BBDO has been appointed as the lead creative agency for Skinny, the award-winning prepay mobile and broadband provider.

The appointment comes following a competitive pitch as Spark look to unify its approach, consolidating the business into Colenso BBDO. The agency will be the above the line lead across brand, product, activation and social. This move now sees the Clemenger Group of agencies Colenso BBDO and PHD manage the multi-brand strategy and communications across both Spark and Skinny.
Vanessa Nicol, managing partner for Spark across the Clemenger Group, said she was thrilled to expand on their relationship with Spark.

Says Nicol: "Skinny is a brand that is truly inside out, which has resulted in it's award winning service status. This was a pitch that didn't feel like we were pitching; we worked collaboratively alongside the team throughout the process. The win now allows us the abilty to manage both brands (Spark and Skinny) strategically, creatively and operationally, working with retail & digital agency Platform29 to achieve commercial success for both brands."

Says Ally Young, brand manager, Skinny: "We're excited to move into a new phase with Colenso BBDO. This is an exceptional agency that has developed and executed incredible Spark work to date, so we look forward to replicating award-winning and customer-centric campaigns with the Skinny brand now as well."

It's amazing how long before pitch wins are announced publicly. This is like 6-month-old news if you're in the know.

Clearly this good news has been saved and trotted out now to try and deflect from the more recent losses of Frucor, Samsung and Burger King at College Hill.
