Pernod Ricard launches ‘Church Road Journeys of Discovery’ series on TVNZ via Raydar and 99

99 Raydar Chruch Rd David.jpgRaydar and 99 have partnered up to launch a new series called ‘Church Road Journeys of Discovery’ which is now screening on TVNZ OnDemand for Pernod Ricard.

The series marks the first work from Raydar and 99 since winning the Pernod Ricard brand work from Ogilvy late last year.

‘Church Road Journeys of Discovery’, developed for Church Road Winery in Hawke’s Bay, is the first collaboration between 99, Raydar, and The Workshop.

99 Raydar Chruch Rd Kiri.jpgThe four-part, long form series is designed to show that the Church Road brand is based around a philosophy; to always challenge convention and to keep discovering. It follows99 Raydar Chruch Rd Paul.jpg award-winning winemaker Chris Scott as he travels the country to meet other exceptional craftspeople to discuss their inspiration.

Chris meets with furniture maker David Trubridge, graffiti artist Paul Walsh, and world-renowned fashion99 Raydar Chruch Rd.jpg designer Kiri Nathan, before travelling to talk with environmental architects Siân Taylor and Mark Read.

Says Kerry Wheeler, head of marketing, Pernod Ricard New Zealand: “We knew our target audience would resonate with Chris’s genuine passion for experimentation and the unexpected. So with that engaged audience, we had confidence that long-form content was the way to bring our new brand strategy to life.”

In collaboration with documentary filmmaker Tom Levesque, the series was produced entirely in-house at 99/Raydar’s production arm The Workshop.

Says Troy Fuller, managing director, 99/Raydar: “Creating a series on this scale and with this level of craft is obviously an ambitious task. But it’s made significantly easier when you have all your creative talent under one roof, in yelling distance of each other.”
