Top Kiwi athletes star in Powerade’s new ‘Always Forward’ brand campaign via Ogilvy New Zealand

Screen Shot 2018-09-25 at 11.24.17 am.jpgPowerade has announced the launch of its new Always Forward campaign, featuring New Zealand’s top performing athletes – Steven Adams, Sophie Pascoe, Kane Williamson and Israel Dagg, developed by Ogilvy New Zealand.

The new campaign is based on pushing forward through adversity and not letting setbacks get in the way of reaching your goals, which makes these athletes the ideal Powerade ambassadors.

Screen Shot 2018-09-25 at 11.24.49 am.jpgTo support the launch of the new Always Forward campaign, Powerade has developed OOH creative, engaging TV ads and social content which feature all four ambassadors sharing moments in their careers where they have overcome obstacles and managed to become the great international sportspeople they are today.

Oklahoma City Thunder centre, Steven Adams who has been a Powerade ambassador for the past few years, says he’s excited to be working with the other three athletes at the same time.

 

Says Adams: “The skill level and talent we have on the Powerade ambassador team from the likes of Izzy, Kane and now Sophie is unmatched. These athletes know what it takes to perform at the pinnacle of their respective sports and to continually be working to improve their game.

 

“This TVC and campaign in general reflects our respective journeys and showcases how we battled adversity at an important part of our career, but through all the hardship still managed to overcome the setbacks that were thrown our way.”

 

Alongside Ogilvy, were Beach House Productions and Culture who handled the production and capturing the video content, respectively. All filming took place in Auckland at The Trusts Arena and the AUT Millennium Centre pool and gym. The extras featured in the TVC were from local clubs.
