Trustpower promotes its latest broadband and power bundle offer in new campaign via Gunroom
Trustpower has launched a new TVC via creative agency Gunroom and produced by CPD Films for its latest broadband and power bundle offer.
The offer is a continuation of Trustpower’s relationship with Samsung and gives new customers a free Samsung appliance when they switch their power and unlimited data broadband to Trustpower on a 24 month bundle plan.
The TVC was developed around the insight that unpacking something shiny and new is a moment of fun and excitement.
Says Carolyn Schofield, marketing communications manager, Trustpower: “Who doesn’t enjoy getting something new? The pleasure of unwrapping something new, even when you know what’s inside, and even when it’s something as utilitarian as a washing machine, is something everyone can relate to. And when it’s free, it’s even better.”
This campaign promotes the latest version of an offer first launched in 2016. The initial offer gave new customers a Samsung Smart TV as part of their bundle when they switched their power and broadband to Trustpower. The range of Samsung appliances available has been extended over time to include fridges and washing machines, and the latest version has added a robot vacuum cleaner and sound bars to customer’s options.
Says Schofield: “Other bundle offers now available from competitors focus on price, whereas our approach is to develop unique, insight led offers that give our customers more added value.”
Trustpower’s strategy of bundling together energy and telco services has established the company not only as one of the top five power retailers in New Zealand but also as a serious competitor to the major telcos. Trustpower is now the fourth largest fixed line telecommunications retailer in New Zealand and 80% of new customers sign up for more than one service.
Says Schofield: “Trustpower is not an energy company that can also supply your broadband. We’re a fully integrated energy and telco retailer providing a quality customer experience across all our services. For example, we’ve been top of the Netflix speed index, which measures prime time Netflix performance, in New Zealand for nine months in a row and are in the top four in the Asia Pacific.”
Trustpower’s success over the last four years was recognised last week when the company was the winner of the Long Term Marketing Excellence award at the 2018 TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards.
