LucyForbes Portrait (1).jpgCurious Film is excited to represent ingenious director, Lucy Forbes in Australasia. Adding to Curious’ already high calibre roster of film makers.

Based in London, Forbes has experience in both TV and advertising, regularly directing shows for Comedy Central, whilst helming smart campaigns for major brands, such as ASDA, Carphone Warehouse, and Oreos.

Known for her unique, witty perspective and snappy story telling abilities, Forbes is one of the leading voices of the new generation of comedy directors in the UK. Most recently she has directed the critically acclaimed series ‘In My Skin‘ for BBC1. A darkly comic, coming of age story about a sixteen-year-old girl whose mother has just been sectioned in a mental health facility. To deal with reality she tells lies – a lot of lies. It was named critics’ choice in The Observer and The Times.

Says Kate Roydhouse, managing director and executive producer, Curious Film: “Lucy is fearless. Her visual style, clever, witty writing, hints of darkness and boundary-pushing ideas combined are a force to be reckoned with.”

Says Forbes: “I see great creative work coming out of the best agencies in Australia and New Zealand, and I want to collaborate with the best creatives around the world.”

Accomplishments include, her award winning ‘Sniffers‘ film for Confidante which took home a Cannes Lion, two Clios and a Webby. Forbes’ impressive career has also seen her work with high profile international talent such as David Tennant, Mr. T, Kate Moss, Nicole Sherzinger, Katherine Ryan, Doug Stanhope and Robert Webb.
