Shortlist v6 (1).jpgPixel’s Goldy has begun a six week campaign for a nomination at the 91st Academy Awards, after his film Lost & Found was shortlisted as one of ten films by the Academy.

With heavyweights like Pixar and Dreamworks in the mix, the Lost & Found team has begun a grassroots tongue-in-cheek promotional campaign to grab the attention of academy voters. A series of classic film posters, reimagined to include the film’s adorable crocheted cast (check out the film’s Instagram), have started to creep across the internet.

Campaign Brief Grid 2 (1).jpgThe finished film represents a four year long collaboration with writer and co-director Bradley Slabe and producer Lucy J Hayes (Stanley & Morph), which included a massive 14 month shoot, capturing an average of one second of animation per day

The Screen Australia funded short utilises (and in many cases pioneers) innovative techniques in motion control, stop motion animation and effects, to tell the heartbreaking story of a knitted dinosaur that must choose to unravel itself in order to save the love of its life.
