Murray will take over the reins from Paul Catmur, who will stay on to be involved with creative output for the agency. Streets will work closely with Luke Farmer who will continue in his role as Managing Partner and Founder & Partner, Daniel Barnes.

Streets began his career at Publicis in London, then joined Saatchi & Saatchi NZ as senior strategic planner on Telecom. In his time at the agency he held both Director of Strategy and General Manager roles. Strreets has worked with some of New Zealand’s biggest and highest profile brands: ASB, Air New Zealand, Toyota and Spark (through its transformation from Telecom). Whilst at FCB he led the planning for Vodafone, Air New Zealand and Audi New Zealand.

Says Streets: “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to lead an independently-minded creative agency that’s enabled by the wider resources of the Dentsu Aegis Network. My focus will be on developing an agency model for the future, integrating our many talents to create distinctive work that builds our clients’ brands and businesses.”

Says Catmur: “I’m really chuffed that Murray is adding his drive, smarts and experience to Managing Partner Luke Farmer and the other wonderful people in our team. I will continue to be closely involved in the creative output of BC&F Dentsu, and look forward to having more time to work on writing projects which have been on hold for the last ten years. I only hope I can remember where I’d got to.”

Adds Dentsu Aegis Network New Zealand CEO Rob Harvey: “I’ve known Murray for many years and he’s a great guy to come in and lead the team. The agency already has a strong culture and Murray will only add to that with his people skills and insight. I’m really excited about the contribution he will make to BC&F Dentsu and the Dentsu Aegis executive team.”

BC&F Dentsu Managing Partner Luke Farmer has also worked with Murray before. Says Farmer: “I couldn’t be more excited to be reunited with Muz again and can’t wait to have him part of the team. We’ve got lots going on so he’ll be definitely hitting the ground running.”

BC&F Dentsu has also welcomed back Head of Media Monica Wales from maternity leave. She will be taking a rest from coping with the demands of her young daughter Frankie and is looking forward to getting back into the driving seat.
