DADreps (1).jpgD&AD has picked Maria Devereux, creative director at Colenso BBDO to represent New Zealand on the Experiential jury and DDB NZ creative director Brett Colliver for the Direct jury.

The three-day creative spectacular returns to London in May, celebrating the world’s best in craft, creativity and culture.

This announcement follows the success of 2018, where Devereux was promoted to creative director and her work on Pedigree SelfieSTIX was the second most awarded campaign in Colenso history. It picked up a Wood Pencil in Digital Marketing, whilst Child Replacement Programme achieved 5 Pencils.

Says Beth O’Brien, creative group head, Colenso BBDO and D&AD Judge in 2018: “Being a part of D&AD is a special experience for a creative. It’s an environment full of uniquely talented brains, coupled with the enthusiasm and drive to match. Maria is one of the very best, so it’s no surprise she’s been asked to lend her exceptional taste to the judging panel. I’m stoked for her, it’s going to be a wild ride.”

Says Devereux: “I began my career in this fabulous industry as a designer so D&AD has always held a special place in my heart. To be asked to judge is an absolute honor and I look forward to being inspired by the wonderful work and people D&AD naturally attracts.”

Colliver’s selection comes off the back of three stellar years at D&AD, having won 12 Pencils since 2016, including 3 Yellow Pencils.

Says Colliver: “D&AD is the show that tortures every creative. There’s something slightly sadistic about how hard it is to win a Pencil, but that’s exactly why they’re so special. And it’s why I look forward to seeing what wins each year. So, to be invited to help decide the winners of 2019 is an absolute honour.”
