New Zealand creatives Colliver, Devereux and Wong will join the Jury for D&AD Awards 2019

Brett Colliver-thumb-200x213-90801.jpgMaria-Devereux-Special.jpgD&AD has announced its lineup of Jury Presidents and Judges for its 2019 Awards. This year, three creatives from New Zealand have been selected to join the Jury.

Representing New Zealand are Brett Colliver, creative director at DDB New Zealand (above left), Maria Devereux, creative director at Colenso BBDO (above right) and Jef Wong, ECD at Designworks, Auckland.

Jef Wong.jpgThe Jury Presidents for 2019 include Aussie expat Nick Law (Chief Creative Officer & President of Publicis Communications at Publicis Groupe) – below left, Aussie expat John Mescall (Global Executive Creative Director & Global Creative Council President at McCann Worldgroup) – below right, and Sydney-based Amanda Galmes (CEO of Hill+Knowlton Strategies and Colloquial). 

Other Aussies picked for jury duty include Cam Blackley, CCO of M&C Saatchi Australia, Seamus Higgins, ECD of Host/Havas, Sydney, Carmela Soares, ECD at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, Jonathan Kneebone, founder, The Glue Society, Michael Ritchie, MD/EP at Revolver and Will Alexander, EP at Heckler.

For 57 years D&AD Awards has highlighted and celebrated creative excellence in creativity, annually inviting over 250 of the world’s greatest creative practitioners to judge the year’s finest work. The D&AD Awards Ceremony takes place on the final day of the three-day D&AD Festival, which returns 21 – 23 May 2019 at The Old Truman Brewery, London.

For this year’s Awards, D&AD has introduced a variety of innovations in order to reflect the breadth of talent and disciplines that fall within the creative industries. Alongside the existing categories, budding professionals can submit their work into newly formed ‘Next’ subcategories, a platform for emerging creatives, designers and crafts practitioners to showcase their individual talents. DANDAD-2019-jury.jpgA new Awards category for 2019 is the Side Hustle category, which has been introduced to reflect the increasing number of creatives applying their skills and personal passions to side projects. From creating new businesses to developing initiatives to address social and environmental issues, this category aims to spotlight world class creativity beyond people’s day jobs.
