As part of its work with Hell Pizza, Barnes, Catmur & Friends, Auckland came up with the concept of Mis-Fortune Cookies.
Currently being sold through all 66 Hell Pizza stores these have darker messages than the traditional Chinese variety.
You have been warned.

Velly funny,, but what’s the China relevance to the product ?
很好! 我喜欢。
More good work from Barnes Catmur & Friends. This is becoming rather a habit.
Relevance? It’s fast food sold at a fast food joint. It’s just as relevant as selling chips at a pizza place, and they do that too. 草泥马。

I liked this concept better when Graham Johnson got it in the AWARD annual a few years ago. To be fair though, I suppose he did miss a trick by spelling “misfortune” correctly.
They’re getting people to BUY their advertising. Just like the buns. Job done.
The relevance is that fortune cookies were traditionally chinese! duh! cool idea though 🙂 anyone read any yet?
