Jessie Mulligan joins gaggle of NZ’s best comedians part of Sunday Punch’s Writers’ Room

Sunday Punch Jesse Mulligan.jpgSunday Punch’s Writers’ Room has bolstered its string of talent with the addition of Jesse Mulligan who joins a gaggle of New Zealand’s best comedians.

This new collaborative approach to commercial script writing teams up seasoned television writers and stand-up comedians with creative writing teams at agencies.

As well as his TV roles on 7 Days, Best Bits and Seven Sharp, Mulligan is also a regular contributor to Metro magazine, NZ Herald and various other publications.

He has written for a number of commercial brands – EDMs for grabaseat, web videos for Sony Playstation and Vodafone, and radio commercials for numerous national clients.

In London he worked in food PR, specialising in idea generation and tone-of-voice copy writing.

His roots though are in comedy, and he’s well known in the industry as one of New Zealand’s most accomplished gag writers.

The Sunday Punch Writers’ Room includes such comedic luminaries as Jeremy Corbett, Urzilla Carlson, Jacquie Brown, and Paul Ego.
