Sealord Little Boat Comp.jpgAuckland-based shopper marketing agency Geometry Global New Zealand has been named a finalist in the high-profile Promotional Marketing Association of Asia ‘Dragons of Asia’ awards, the only New Zealand agency to make the cut.

Geometry Global’s ‘Little Boat‘ campaign for Sealord and WWF ‘Last 55‘ campaign were both entered, with category winners to be announced in Kuala Lumpur later this month.

WWF Last 55.jpgThe Sealord ‘Little Boat’ campaign, launched in line with the successful New World ‘Little Shop’ promotion in 2014, captured the hearts of Kiwi maritime fanatics as the biggest miniature that Little Shop had ever seen was created as part of the co-branded campaign – a scaled down, 7ft, custom built, Sealord fishing boat look-alike, destined for a little skipper (and an adult). A national tour of the little boat, 30 second TVC, social media and PR campaign along with in-store, digital and online presence resulted in exceeding sales targets by 300% and raising brand love to an all time high.

With only 55 Maui dolphins remaining in the sea around New Zealand, Geometry Global New Zealand and Ogilvy New Zealand’s ‘Last 55’ joint campaign for the World Wide Fund for Nature was developed to mobilise Kiwis to get this plight on the social and political agenda. The results were staggering with 108,000 signatures collected – 504% above the target, 257% Facebook community growth, thousands of Kiwis taking to the streets in protests and multiple political parties publicly vowing to get behind the cause.
