Screen Shot 2016-06-30 at 8.19.11 am.jpgBed manufacturer Sleepyhead has just relaunched its popular Chiropractic bed range and produced a brand new TVC via Chemistry Interaction to showcase the bed that has your back, just like your best mate does.

New 15 and 30 second TVCs, directed by award-winning Gregor Nicholas, shows early risers Ken and Gav, old friends and keen surfers, leaving the comforts of their Sleepyhead beds to take on the waves at New Zealand’s most beautiful beaches (the ad was filmed between Pakiri and Maori Bay). The two struggle with waves and washed-up jellyfish but through it all they have each other’s back and at the end of their day they end up back in their trusty Sleepyhead Chiropractic beds.

Says Warren Roach, marketing manager, Sleepyhead: “As the ad shows, it’s important to have people in your life who have your back no matter what the situation is but you also need to make sure you’re looking after your own health. That’s why choosing the right bed is so important. We understand the everyday strains and struggles our backs go through and our enhanced Chiropractic HD range has been specially designed to provide you with the proper support your back needs. And it’s endorsed by the New Zealand Chiropractic Association so you know it has the expert seal of approval.

“More than 80% of adults’ experience back pain at some point in their lives. To help Kiwis prevent, diagnose and treat their back pain, we have created a back care information site to give New Zealanders the tools they need to continue doing the things they love.”

Nicholas from Fish has directed advertisements across Europe and in the US and been nominated for an outstanding advertising Emmy. Brands he has worked with include Toyota, Volkswagen, BMW and Adidas.

The 15 and 30-second ads will appear on TV and online.
