2degrees makes a stand against disappearing mobile data in latest campaign via Special Group

2mobile.jpgEvery month, Kiwis’ unused mobile data disappears from their monthly plans. And 2degrees is asking the question – where does it go?  So it’s calling out the unfair behaviour of its competitors by dramatising where this data might be ending up.

Together with its agency Special Group it has launched a campaign inviting Spark and Vodafone customers unhappy about the disappearance of their unused monthly mobile data to switch to a 2degrees Pay Monthly plan.

2degrees_Open letter2.jpgThe TVC, produced by Special Group, directed by The Sweet Shop’s Damien Shatford, aims to end the mystery of disappearing data and bring the issue to the attention of unwitting mobile users. The campaign includes 45 second and 15 seconds commercials, digital, outdoor and a full page ‘open letter’ to Spark and Vodafone customers from 2degrees.

Says Charlotte Johnson, head of marketing communications, 2degrees: “We’re here to dramatise, in a humorous way, that Kiwis across the country can be getting a much better and fairer deal with 2degrees. There’s no need for Kiwis to be paying for mobile data then have it disappear every month.”2degrees_Disappearing Data Billboard.jpg2degrees_Disappearing Data Billboard 2.jpg
