Brett Hoskin.jpegToday the Clemenger Group New Zealand merged the group’s marketing services companies in Wellington to form an unmatched ‘new age’ agency with the resources, talent and capabilities required for the future. No other agency in Wellington, and only a handful in Auckland, can boast the capabilities of the combined Wellington agency. The new entity is designed specifically to take on the marketing communications challenges of tomorrow.

Clemenger BBDO, Touchcast and Proximity will be merged together to form one agency called Clemenger BBDO/Touchcast. The result will be a market-leading agency in Wellington providing capabilities in digital, data, direct/CRM, customer experience, advertising and retail – alongside our integrated media capabilities at OMD Wellington.

Collectively all three agencies have a successful history steeped in design, strategy, technology and storytelling. Combining these strengths and capabilities makes for a formidable offer in market. The diversity of skills will lead to even better outcomes for our clients’ businesses.”

Says Moser: “Brett Hoskin has been with the Clemenger Group since he started his career many years ago (he won’t let me mention how many, but it’s a lot, trust me). I’ve seen Brett really develop into his leadership role over the years. No-one is better suited to lead a team of multi-disciplined, multi-skilled professionals. He’s won the respect and support of his clients, his colleagues and the market. With his Direct/Data/Digital background, he has the experience and knowledge we need to drive our clients’ businesses forward in the future.”

Says Hoskin: “Our world has never been more connected, and our clients are demanding an equally connected offering. It’s exciting to have such a wide range of multi-disciplinary teams working together under one roof. We can now execute everything in the customer journey from the brand story right through every touchpoint in the digital and physical experience. It’s going to be a very powerful offering for our clients.”

Says Hawley: “I think what unites us is an understanding that people and culture are what shapes the brand platforms, products, services and experiences we create for our clients. Not the other way round.”

Wellington has always been an important and significant market for the Clemenger Group Australasia. The group first entered the market in 1972, through a minority-interest in the (then) start-up known as Colenso Wellington. The changes announced today reflect a continued investment and interest in Wellington and the agencies’ clients based there – public and private sector alike.

The new agency officially launches 29 March 2017.
