The campaign highlights that Kiwis are about to be treated to the world’s greatest golf in their own backyard.

Womens Golf Open_A2-Poster (1).jpgThe video features Ko taking an Auckland suburb by surprise as she drives a ball through backyards and chips it over neighboring fences all the way to Windross Farm – the venue for the event. Commentary is also provided by Frank Nobilo and Laura McGoldrick.

Says Matt Sellars and Rich Robson, CDs, Augusto: “This is not just another tournament with a few top golfers, this is New Zealand’s first real chance to witness our very own golfing superstar, Lydia Ko, take on dozens of the world’s greatest, right here on home soil. So we wanted to create a fun campaign that goes beyond the golfing audience and appeals to Kiwi sports fans all over the country.”

This campaign rekindles Augusto’s relationship with Ko, who created and produced Lydia’s announcement to the world that she was turning professional at the age of 16 with the #KoGoesPro campaign, featuring All Black, Israel Dagg.

Says Michelle Walshe, managing director, Augusto: “It was a fantastic experience working with Lydia on her KoGoesPro video announcement all those years ago and since then, like all kiwi’s, have been proudly watching her take on the world. We’re thrilled to have had another opportunity to work with Lydia, this time to promote the MCKAYSON New Zealand Women’s Open. The Clubhouse have done an outstanding job in bringing this prestigious LPGA Tour event to our shores and allowing us to see our #1 kiwi gem play in our backyard.”

The 30″ cutdown TVC launches during the ISPS Handa New Zealand Open on Sky Sports this weekend.
