Publicis-Media (1).jpgPublicis Media NZ was the most awarded agency group at the Q4 Google ‘Performance Honours’ Awards held in Sydney last month.

These awards recognise the achievements of leading search marketing agencies and providers across Australia and New Zealand. Instigated to focus agencies on using best practice and latest offerings from Google to optimize performance, the awards are held each quarter with five awards handed out.

To qualify, search and media marketing agencies were invited to enter the program and were measured against specific product metrics indicative of Search Excellence – metrics designed to deliver the best possible search results for clients.

Publicis Media was the winner from New Zealand in last week’s awards. Starcom was shortlisted for three of the five categories (‘Always On’, ‘Attribution’ and ‘Automation’), winning the Automation Award. Zenith won the Attribution Award and was shortlisted for two other categories (‘Automation’ and ‘Creative Excellence’). Both agencies were also shortlisted for the ‘Agency of the Year’ Award.

Says Matt Northin, Search account director, Starcom: ”To be recognised by Google highlights the great work and the best practices we’re achieving for our clients here in New Zealand, by ensuring that we are maximising the effectiveness of their activity.”

Says Jason Pickelmann, Search account director, Zenith: “This was a fantastic programme led by Google throughout the year that really lifted our clients’ campaign performance and delivery of advertising investment. The final wrap up event for the year showed that Zenith New Zealand has the capabilities and calibre to  deliver great work for our clients.”

Other shortlisted agencies from New Zealand were FCB Media and PHD.
